The DieHard 1150 Lithium Upgrade

How to replace the battery in a diehard 1150

Upgrading the DieHard 1150 Jump Pack and Power Station to a LiFePO (lithium iron phosphate) battery. This method will work on your old Yeti Goal Zero and similar that came with lead acid batteries or need a 256 Wh (12.8V 20 Ah) lithium replacement.

Those of you who have been with me for a while know that I used this power station on my earlier Odyssey Camper adventures. I know that a few of you have picked up DieHard packs of your own.  Well, it’s finally time to upgrade this old black box, now that lithium batteries have come way down in price.  I’ve started and stopped the making of this video 3 separate times, across three different home base locations.  For the 3 people that were waiting, it is FINALLY DONE!

You can find the stuff in the video, at the links below.  If you already have a DieHard or Schumacher battery jump pack, this upgrade might be worth the price of the battery.  However, if you have yet to buy a power system for your minivan RV, compare prices.  You can now buy a lot of systems that simply were not available when I originally suggested picking up a used DieHard 1150.  Shop around.  I’ll stop short of recommending a specific unit, but I REALLY like the EcoFlow Delta units.  I use them at home and though there are cheaper things out there, they have a good app for your phone and… they are simple to use.  I use an EcoFlow Delta 2 for home backup and have a video on it, if you are interested.

Here are the items from the video, on Amazon. If you are kind enough to click through, I will get a tiny commission and it won’t cost you any extra. Even if you buy something different after clicking through, you’ll help me out. So, you COULD click a link and then do ALL of your Amazon shopping… just saying.

The Chins battery I used is not available at the moment, so the second link is to a similar one that should work.
